Vice. The Project Doom for NES (1992)

Vice. The Project Doom for NES advertisement
Ad published in the February 1992 issue of EGM (no. 31)

Historical Background &  Graphical Analysis

A solid release from American Sammy, Vice. The Project Doom (1991) combined some Ninja Gaiden elements with a bit of Spy Hunter and Operation Wolf. Quality cut scenes and tight gameplay made for a good game. You would never know the quality of the game by looking at the ad 25 years ago.

It's a printed stereotype of every Die Hard and Lethal Weapon ripoff of the era, just as the copy denotes. Even the header seems like a reference to Bond movies and a wink to AC/DC.
